backstitched reverse appliqué

had to start another skirtproject
.......

first i had to cut the stencil
[it's not included in the book]

not sure about that,.. we'll see how it works

the backstitched technique takes much more time
than the straight stitch variation
and of course much more thread

alabama stitch book

remember this post?
finished the skirt today!!!!
was a lot of work and it was so worth it

i definitely will do this again
it fits perfect and the look is so cooooool
to the next i will add beads....

the coolest [and most time consuming] thing about this
skirt is that it's completely handsewn, no single
machine stitch!!!

paulie 1.1

the i-cord bo turned out so nice! and the yellow[brown]
buttons were really the best choice

isa k.

did a shortrow shaped collar in garter st
think i will do an i-cord bo, maybe in yellow?

gray buttons?

yellow[brown] buttons?

crafty roundup

my week wasn't that nice
spend most of my time with averting a disaster
the man i was married to a long, long time ago (seams to be
a long time, but....) has huge financial problems
shouldn't be my problem any more, but unfortunately it is.
he still owns a half of my home; additional i gave him
an absolute suretyship for one of his accounts...
so i spend my week with lawyers, in court, with bankers
and so on.....
nevertheless i had a crafty week, maybe it's because of that disaster that i did all those things...?

first an armchair makeover

mr. rossi loves it

me too,.. in his former life this armchair was nice and white

thought that i need some colour changes and went on
dying the covers...........
total flop!!!!
stains all over..darker, lighter, small and large stains!
so i dived into my fabricstash and
started a total makeover.
and it worked! i'm very pleased with it now

also started some new knitting projects..;))

this will be a striped cardi with garter borders
yarn. fortissima alpaka in gray and trekking pro natura in mustard, both sockyarns i had in my stash
needles. 3 mm (am i mad?, a whole cardi on such small needles?!!)

swatched for another cardi

pattern. forestry by veronik avery,
i did this before and i like my forestry that much that
i'm going for another one
yarn. wollness uni by austermann
needles. 3.5 mm and 4 mm

....................
got a new storage for some part of my sewing stuff

a lunchbox!
so cool!!

have a good day
hopefully my days will get better

camera cozy

quick project in between
a friend asked for a camera cozy cause his wife always
takes his socks (one at a time) to cover her little camera

yarn. sockyarn leftovers
needles. 3 mm dpns
worked in the round
co 40 sts. 6 rounds k2,p2 ribbing.

made a few decreases for the rounded edge
and used 3needle bo to avoid seaming

 also made the rubberstamp

....isn't it cool?

have a good day

walnuss

unfortunately i found no additional yard in my stash
so my walnuss cardi ended up with 1/2 sleeves

and i like it just the way it is....

walnuss update

could be that i will run out of yarn.....eeeeeehh!!
i had 2 and a little rest skeins alpaca superlight and
1 skein mohair luxe
and was stupid enough to think that this would be enough
for my walnuss without pleats....
one and 1/4 sleeve to go and i only have 5g left of my pink
alpaca superlight.....

i think now it's time to confess that i did my
high-school diploma in mathematics(advanced level!)....hmmm
.....this long time ago i was the only one at my school,
who did it in combination with arts,
sounds weird, i know.

back to this sweet cardi.
the fit is good, i did the armholes only 17 cm long
and that's pretty good for me [as some of you said before, i
am tiny ;)] 2 sts less increased for the sleeves and 2 sts
less co at underarmsection
my cardi measures 36.5 cm from sleeve separation cause i did
it without the pleats this time

now i have to dive into my stash and search for some leftovers
.........

i also have to think about a name for it....

have a nice weekend
isa k.
