  22. I wonder if the front edges to fold inwards at Caramel? Is that intentional?

  26. I just had to let you know that I made this cardigan, and am about to start a second one. I wear it constantly, and absolutely love how easy it is to make "your own" with variations. So comfy and versatile. Thank you!

  27. Saw this on Pinterest and straightaway thought 'I want it.' It's simple yet very stylish. I have a couple of main projects on my needles and hooks but hope to get to this soon.

  28. Just started this pattern. Just double checking, the RS rows between the increases say work st between frontbands as they appear, so I'm p to 3 before M then k1 p1 k1 sm k1p1k1 and so on correct?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. absolutely correct...hope you'll have fun with it

  29. Thanks, do you suggest carrying the yarn through the stripe or cut it and weave in the tails?

    ReplyDelete
  30. you can carry up the yarns, but I would suggest to move the color change to one of the "side seams", otherwise you will see the carried yarn at the edge

  31. Hmmmm...to answer I would need more information
at first it seams that you mixed up some st counts...the 267 sts is the st count after separating sleeves from body, the other st counts are what you have before separating and these are correct
After the very first inc row you have:
    54 sts (front) - 12 sts (sleeve) - 51 sts (back)
then you do inc rows (in your case 27 additional inc rows) on every RS row until you have:
    81 sts (front) - 66 sts (sleeve) - 105 sts (back)
this will be a total of 399 sts on your needle

  32. i like the the caramel pattern but i want to do the one that looks like black and grey but i can't find the pattern for not doing it in the stripes. i don't know how far down to do the main color

    1. to get a precise answer you may want to contact one of the ladies who did the cardigan the way you want to knit it. I do not know how long they made the body until they changed colors.
a raw guess from my side would be to knit the body to approx. 8 - 10 cm less than desired length and change the colors

  34. Hello! Quick question: should I be making right and left leaning increases at the shoulders? Or make all left?

  36. Thank you very much for the sweater pattern! I'm making it right now, but I have about the wrong side stitches after you start the increases on the right side. Since you purl them on the RS, you knit them on WS right?

    Thank you very much.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. yes, when working the WS you have to work all stitches as they appear = purl the purls and knit the knits ;)

  38. I'm sorry, but there must be something wrong with me, because I can't get the pattern to work. In the increase row, you have 169 stitches, but the instructions are for 177 stitches. I'm really confused. I can't get it to work. Help please.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. the increase row adds 8 sts
      169 + 8 = 177

    2. I know, it was just the wording. I'm out of practice with knitting, so I'll figure it out. Thanks

  39. Hello, I love this sweater but found the smallest size to still be much too big for me. Do you have any suggestions for decreasing it overall? Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm unsure what the * means in the caramel cardigan pattern. Have not started yet but in studying the pattern I'm already confused. Waiting to hear back so I can get started . Thanks!

    ReplyDelete

    1. That usually means to repeat from * to *.
