muh-muhs for you - free pattern

do you remember this little striped shawl...?

found some nice ladies who went through the pattern and
encountered all the bugs i wrote into (hehehe!!)

so finally the pattern is released - and it's free!
get your english version here
aaaaand the german version here in the shop, where i also
got the yarn for this

this was just the right shawl for our rainy, cold and grey
spring here in germany - i wore it till last weekend....
would anyone trust me when i tell you that we had 10° celsius
on 1st of june?????

....but now to my current projects

marsa alam is in testing right now, and i plan to publish
the pattern in july (or maybe a little sooner...;)

working on a few testknits (all secret testknits...so i
am not allowed to show you these beauties...sorry)

and have some new ideas on my needles
a maritime sweater (fingering weight with stripes and a
little twist)
and an open front cardi with a beautiful cable panel down
the fronts

ha! not forgetting my second emerald

this time with long sleeves, folded hems and contrast color
on the quilted band
think this turned out quite cool, right?

for adding the contrast color you only need to work
rows 1, 4, 5 and 8 of the quilting pattern in contrast color
that's it...

i now need to do some house cleaning,...that we can spend the
evening outdoors with our friends (we will go for a bbq in the
neighbourhood of our construction area....our old house!)

have a nice day,

isa m.

emerald is out!

first of all let me shout out a big THANK YOU to all my
wonderful testknitting ladies!!
you all are amazing and it is so much fun to launch a testknit
with you .....thank you! thank you! thank you!

emerald is a little tee worked seamlessly from the top down
(there is only one little - a very little - seam at the bottom
of the placket)
fitted on top and absolutely comfy around the bottom
with slightly rounded hems to achieve this flattering look

pattern. emerald by (...me)
yarn. soft merino by ICE YARNS, but any light dk weight yarn
that knits up to the gauge will work fine
needles. 4 mm, 3.5 mm, 3 mm [US 6, 4, 2 1/2]

hope i can wear my emerald more the next days/ weeks
we had such a grey, rainy and cold spring by now...
i was wearing winter clothes all the time,...oh, it's not that
i don't like woolen sweaters (how could i??),
slowly but surely it's enough - i want to wear sandals!
and skirts,...and shorts.....and my emerald!

have a good day

chalkstone pattern

it took me almost 1 year to get this pattern ready to publish!
but now it's done and i really hope that you all like it
as much as i do ;)

....aaaand because some of you waited so long,
the pattern will be only €3.50 till the end of may

get you copy here

now to a few other projects...

emerald test is done and my lovely testknitting ladies
did amazing jobs
the pattern will be published in 2 weeks (june)

working on a more wintry (2 color) version right now - hopefully i will be done with it soon

i also did some testknits lately:

this beautiful tee is called Tschilp and will be part of
Anke's birdsong sweaters

seamless top down construction with a beautiful neckline

pattern. tschilp by ankestrick (soon to be published)
yarn. sur by lanas stop
needles. 3.5 mm

the only modification i made was to shorten the sleeves

......

this one is called v-line designed by svetlana

she asked me 3 weeks ago to test this beauty, but with all
the things going on here i feared not to be able to make it in
time....i told her so and guess what she did?
she sent me the pattern anyway, just in case i would
feel like knitting it

ha!...i tried to ignore the pattern
about 2 weeks i really tried to ignore it
...then i picked up my needles (hahahaha!)

when i first looked at the pattern i could see the stripes
...yes, i could see them!

so there are lots of mods in here:

. no eyelets - i did m1l and m1r increases
. only 2 sts between the increase lines
. started with the numbers of the largest size to get a
  wider v-neck
. increased to the numbers of xs for shoulder width
. icreased to numbers of size s, cause i was working
  at a tighter gauge
. added a few more sts to the underarm co, for a little more
  room at the upper arms
. added more rounds to the bottom due to my gauge

......

this one is currently in testing
i named this marsa-alam
cause its colors remind me of this place between the sahara desert and the red sea where we spent our holidays the last years

i planned to publish this in july, so please stay tuned ;)

......

and this will be a gift for you (yes! a freebie!!!)
as soon as i have found 1 or 2 speedy testers for it ;)
so come on ladies!!!!

a simple, yet effective striped shawl to keep you happy

hope you all have good days

new pattern

finally published the pattern for
sunny side [up!]

we had a testing round last autumn and it happend (as always...)
that i couldn't get rid of all the other things going on
...and just forgot about it (aaahh, was not completely forgotten, but i had too many other things in mind)

hmmmmm....what can I say...seams that i am not a good business
woman...(hehehehe!)

but now it's up and i really hope that some of you like it
as much as i do - it's such a cute and versatile knit
the lace panel makes it fun to knit and though it's knitted
with fingering yarn, it runs off the needles

i made a 2/3 sleeve version which i wear a lot
(think this might be a question of colour...hahaha)
i absolutely adore bright colours and sometimes i use
these colours, but i tend to wear my non-coloured knits
more often

so take your needles and off we go!

have a happy knitting time

i know for some this might sound weird
and i hardly cannot explain how we felt the last days
cause they are just like our kids...
.....and we are all doing the happy dance here!!!!

wishing you all a perfect sunday

chalkstone sweater

some of you know, we had already a testing round for this
sweater .....last year....
due to some unclear parts of the pattern i set it aside
and did not look back (shame on me!!!)

with some time inbetween and a few kicks (Thank you Liz!)
i rewrote the tricky part of the pattern and made a chart
for the upper part of the sweater

as my usual testing group tested it aldready, i do not want
to bother them with another test round of the same sweater
so i'd like to ask here for a little help

i need at least 1 tester for each size

xs (38 in finished bust)
s (41 in finished bust)
m (44 in finished bust)
l (47 in finished bust)
xl (50 in finished bust)

the sweater is designed to be worn with approx. 4 in of
positive ease

yarn. light worsted weight 20 sts x 25 rows in Stockinette
on 4.5 mm [US 7] needles

if your interested in testing the sweater and way more important
if you think you can make this rather quickly (i thought
of 4 to 5 weeks?) please pm me on rav with the size you'd
like to knit or email me

thank you so much for your interest in testing this sweater!

think i have enough testers and hopefully they will
go through the pattern without the ususal mess i produce
when it comes to write a pattern.... ;)

THANK YOU in advance

isa m.
